In order to offer you and all other users on Darkwood.Design an inspiring and clear platform for new ideas, we have completely revised the suggestion system. Thanks to the new version of "WoltLab Suite Suggestions", we are putting innovative and fresh suggestions in the spotlight and offering a user experience that specifically supports your ideas. Here is an overview of the new features:
Modern map design - no more table view
The Suggestions now appear in a modern map design that replaces the previous table view. The cards offer a clear and inviting presentation that makes it easier for you to see all the relevant information at a glance. This makes it easier for you to recognise which ideas are currently trending and get inspired straight away.
Limiting the number of likes per user - focusing on the most important ideas
An important new feature is the limit of 20 likes per user. We have noticed that some users like almost every suggestion on principle, which greatly distorts the actual popularity of individual ideas. With the new limit, we want to ensure that each user selects the ideas that are really most important to them.
Note: Likes for your own suggestions do not count towards this limit - so you can continue to support your own ideas without having to compromise on others.
For users who have given more than 20 likes in the past, this means that they will have to remove some likes before they can give new ones. This measure ensures that everyone focuses their likes on the suggestions they really care about.
New page: "Suggestions I like"
To make it easy for you to manage your likes, we've introduced the new "Suggestions I like" page. Here you can see all the suggestions you have supported and remove likes where they are no longer necessary. Just go through the list - you'll be surprised how this improves the relevance and weighting of the ideas.
Focus on fresh ideas - the new "Trendy suggestions" sorting
To ensure that new and "trendy" suggestions are also clearly visible, we have changed the default sorting of the list. Instead of the most-liked suggestions, you will now see the "trendiest" ideas. This prevents the older suggestions - which naturally already have a lot of likes - from always being at the top, while new ideas often get lost. The new formula highlights popular new suggestions and ensures that you always have the most exciting ideas in view.
